Widget Customization

RSSFlux widgets can be customized with different display counts and colors. These settings are stored in your browser's localStorage and persist between visits.

Changing the number of items

1. Go to My Feeds → click a feed → Build Widget

2. Use the Items to show slider (1–16)

3. The preview updates live

Changing colors

1. In the Widget Builder, scroll to the Customize section

2. Use the Background color and Text color pickers

3. Choose from the color wheel or type a hex value (e.g., #0f172a)

4. The preview updates live

Resetting to defaults

Click the Reset button next to "Customize" to restore defaults: 10 items, white background, dark text.

Embedding on your site

Once you're happy with the look:

1. Click Copy HTML

2. Paste the iframe code into your website, Notion page, or WordPress block

Embed code structure

The widget URL includes your settings as query parameters:

`

/api/widget/TOKEN?theme=grid&count=5&bg=ffffff&text=1e293b

`

You can modify these parameters directly in the embed code if you prefer.

Notes

  • Settings are saved per-feed in your browser
  • Each visitor to your site sees the settings you chose when you generated the embed code
  • Changing the count or colors in the Widget Builder generates a new embed code — you must re-copy it for changes to take effect on your site
